On 29 and 30 September, the top 10 learners in the Platinum League went head to head in the final #1MillionMaths showdown. This took form of an assignment: learners had one hour to do as much of the assignment as they could, and they were able to try and improve their score by redoing a similar assignment again. For learners who did an assignment more than once, we took their best attempt into account.
And here they are - the #1MillionMaths competition winners for 2020! Well done to all participants for taking part in the final showdown, and for your enthusiasm and hard work!

The final list of top 10 learners can be found here.
We'd also like to recognise our top schools for #1MillionMaths, for the number of atoms earned by their learners over September. Here are our top 10 schools for 2020!

#DailyDraw winners
Learners who had completed at least 10 questions, and earned 250 atoms in a day, were put into a draw to win a variety of prizes. Here is the final and complete list of all #DailyDraw prizewinners:
We also awarded some special prizes as we hit key milestones:
On Monday 7 September we drew an extra prize to celebrate reaching 500 000 questions! The lucky winner was Salathiso Silo (Grade 10) from Ikhwezi Technical Skills Centre, who won a JBL Soundbar. Well done, Salathiso!
We reached 750 000 questions on Friday 11 September, and so awarded the extra prize of a JBL Bluetooth speaker to Bornwise Maswanganye (Grade 12) from Maphuta Secondary School.
And on Tuesday 15 September, we hit that magical 1 000 000 number! Daniel Kenechukwu (Grade 8) from Kenilworth Secondary School was the lucky winner of a special milestone prize, a Samsung A10 and earpods.
